Ben Locket is a musician and composer. He was nominated for ‘Best Music in a TV Production’ for The Amazing World of Gumball at the 2012 Annie Awards in Los Angeles and the 2014 UK Music and sound awards for Best Title Sequence and in 2017 was awarded Best Original Score at the Sapporo Film Festival in Japan for the Oscar nominated Roald Dahl adaptation of Revolting Rhymes .
He wrote the music for Curzon Cinemas new ident collaborating with Jim White from Dirty Three/Xylouris White and his score to Revolting Rhymes had its live debut in Dublin performed by the RTÉ Concert Orchestra on the 5th of May 2017 and London’s Royal Festival Hall in 2018 with the Southbank Sinfonia. He wrote the score to the Sir Paul Smith documentary at the London design Museum whilst his score to Zima Blue produced by Passion Pictures as part of the recent Netflix series, Love Death and Robots was released on the 15th of March 2019. He is also one half of the group Tala Vala.
